A Look into Who I Am

Welcome to my new blog! First of all, a little about myself. I am a graphic design student, almost done with my associates degree and trying to decide where to go/what to do next. I enjoy doing magazine layouts, brochures, etc. 

When I first started thinking about college, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do. I liked computers, but didn't want to be a computer programmer. I liked horses, but it is more of a hobby for me. Then I heard about graphic design. It combined being creative and being able to use my computer skills! It sounded perfect. I won't forget my first day in a graphic design class. I had no idea what Illustrator or InDesign was other than what I had read in the course description. I was so confused! Anyways, I made it through the class and from what I heard it seemed like it would be fun. So now here I am several graphic design classes later and wondering why people even dare to download Publisher when we have InDesign and Illustrator!

I am currently working on creating a portfolio. Going back through my designs and seeing what I have learned over the last year and a half has been really fun. I have enjoyed reworking them and seeing even better results! I have had great professors to guide me and a good group of design students to work with and get feedback from. I have come to love Graphic Design and am excited to see where it leads me!
